Who we are

HappyPet is provided by Aurseek ("we", "us", "our").

What we collect

  • Account info from Google or Apple Sign-In (email, provider UID).
  • Profile info: username you choose; profile photo (optional).
  • User content: posts, captions, and images you upload.
  • App activity (create, edit, delete actions and reports).
  • Device and diagnostics (for example crash logs, performance data, app or device identifiers).
  • Support messages you send us.

What we do NOT collect

  • Precise (GPS) location.
  • Your contacts or address book.
  • Payment card numbers (no in-app purchases today).
  • Biometric identifiers.
If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and ask for any required permissions.

How we use your data

  • Provide core features (sign-in, profiles, posting, viewing feeds).
  • Moderate pet-only content and keep the community safe.
  • Maintain and improve the app (analytics, performance, crash diagnostics).
  • Communicate about your account or our services.
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
  • Detect policy violations (including AI or synthetic media) using automated checks and human review.
We do not sell your personal data.

Pet-only uploads & moderation

HappyPet is for pet-related content. To keep the community on-topic and safe, we may review posts using automated classifiers (for example "dog", "cat", safety flags) and human moderators.

  • If content appears non-pet-related or unsafe, we may remove it or limit features.
  • Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Content that violates our policies may be removed, and offending accounts may be suspended or terminated.
  • We may retain copies of removed or flagged items for a limited period to manage moderation and appeals.

Service providers we rely on

We use reputable providers to run HappyPet:

  • Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Crashlytics) - account, content storage, diagnostics.
  • Google or Apple Sign-In - authentication only.
  • Analytics and performance tools - app quality and reliability.
  • Google Cloud Translation - processes text you choose to translate (such as captions or comments).
These vendors process data under contract and appropriate safeguards and may operate in the United States or other countries.

How long we keep things

  • Account or profile data: while your account is active.
  • User content: until you delete it or delete your account.
  • Moderation logs (for appeals): typically up to 12 months.
  • Crash or diagnostics data: typically 18-24 months.
We may keep limited records where required by law or to prevent abuse.

Your choices & rights

  • Access or update your profile in the app.
  • Delete your content at any time.
  • Delete your account in-app or by emailing support@aurseek.com.
  • Limit analytics or crash sharing via device settings where available.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a region with similar laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

HappyPet is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has used HappyPet, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we continuously improve our security measures.

International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country. We use lawful transfer mechanisms and appropriate safeguards where required.

Cookies (Web)

The web version may use essential cookies to run the site and optional analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

For Australian Users

If you are in Australia, we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

  • You have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached your privacy rights.
  • International Transfers: We may store data overseas (e.g., via Google Firebase in the US). By using the app, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, when required, notify you in-app or by email.
